Jenny Matthews

Jenny Matthews is a Scottish artist based in Edinburgh. She graduated from Edinburgh College of Art with a BA (Hons) in Drawing and Painting in 1986. Matthews has lived in France and Indonesia, both of which have informed her style.

Matthews is an accomplished watercolour artist with a stellar career. She has exhibited her work at many renowned institutions, both at home and abroad, including the Royal Scottish Academy (RSA). She was shortlisted for the International Watercolour Biennial Prize, 'Marche d'Acqua' in 2016. She holds numerous awards from leading art competitions, notably the People's Prize in Hungary and the Royal Watercolour Society (RSW). In 2022, she was elected as a member of the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour (RSW).
