Alison Vincent

Alison Vincent is a glass artist who focuses on remote and rugged landscapes. Part of her methodology is travelling to the locations, such as Svalbard in the Norwegian archipelago and the Galapagos Islands, to get a real sense of the place in order to reflect it in her magnificent sculptures. Glass-blowing is an ancient art form and craft, and as the artist herself describes, 'is one of the hardest techniques' she has tried so far. Whether moss, icy mountain peaks, 'dancing waves', or other natural features, all are encapsulated in the glass sculptures which Vincent creates.
